Miscellaneous Fees

These are fees that students may incur for various reasons but may not be included with the course tuition, and may need to be paid separately from tuition or paid to a third party (not Dallas College).

• Graduating students pay for cap and gown rental.
• The cost for auditing a course is the same as if taking the course for credit.
• Allied Health students may have to pay certain additional charges required by outside regulatory agencies.
• Dallas College levies a service charge for administering tests that establish credit-by-exam.
• Some classes may use facilities or services for which students pay a third party, such as for scuba gear rental or bowling alley admission.

Returned Check Fee

$25.00 per instance

A returned check is established when a check, used to pay for any Dallas College service or commodity, is returned by the drawer’s bank unpaid. The student or entity and check signer’s accounts (if different) may be blocked.
