Work-based Learning Experiences for Career and Technical Education Programs

An work-based learning experience for Career and Technical Education awards is designed as a paid or unpaid learning experience. It enhances lecture and laboratory instruction and is provided at work sites appropriate to the discipline. The work-based learning experience allows a student to have practical hands on training and to apply learned concepts and theories in a workplace setting. The five types of work-based learning experiences:
- Clinical
- Internships
- Practicum
- Internship
- Apprenticeship
Clinical experience must take place in a health care setting.
