Release of Financial Aid Disbursements

Business Services cannot disburse financial aid awards until the student is enrolled in an eligible primary program of study as required by the guidelines of each applicable aid program. To select an eligible degree or certificate program, please log in to Workday Student to select your Program of Study. To accept awards, students are instructed by a Student Engagement to log on to Workday Student to review and manage their award through Financial Aid.
 
Disbursement of Financial aid will occur after census date and/or participation verification date.
 
Refund will be released to the student for the semester by Business Services within 14 days (about 2 weeks) after the participation verification date of the semester. Dallas College processes and distributes refunds and disbursements (including financial aid funds) with the help of a service called eRefunds, a financial services vendor. eRefunds allows the student to designate how refunds and disbursements are distributed. Selections include, direct deposit into a bank account of the student’s choice or a paper check.

Continuing students should file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at http://www.fafsa.gov as soon as possible on or after December 31st of each year in time for aid to pay registration fees and to receive aid the next academic year which begins in Fall.
