EMSP 1164 - Practicum (or Field Experience)-Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic) (1 Credit Hours)

Campus Location: BHC, CVC, RLC

An Emergency Medical Services (EMS) related work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, and concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional.

Prerequisites: Required : (1) Admission into the Emergency Medical Services Program, (2) Current BLS (CPR) certification by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Corequisites/Concurrent: Students will be required to submit to and pass a criminal background search and a drug screen as prescribed by the program and college.  Failure to comply will result in the student being dropped from all EMSP courses.
