Additional requirements include the following:
To earn the ACF Certified Fundamentals Cook industry certification a student must complete the related instruction courses above^, pass a proctored written exam*, pass a practical cooking exam* and submit application to the American Culinary Federation.
To earn the USDOL Registered Apprenticeship Certificate a student must be 16 years of age, apply to become an apprentice, complete all the courses above, complete 1000 hours HOL at an approved employer including workplace competency checklist and completion of the American Culinary Federation apprenticeship portal, and submit completion application to USDOL according to the defined process.
