The Medical Front Office Assistant Certificate program is designed to develop and strengthen knowledge and skills essential for successful employment as entry-level medical front office assistants in a variety of health care settings.
The curriculum provides students with training in medical terminology, computer applications, medical office procedures, basic medical insurance procedures, medical law and ethics, and electronic health records software. Upon successful completion of all required coursework, students will complete an in person 160-hour externship in a medical front office which will provide the opportunity to apply classroom learning in a real-world health care setting.
