Admission to the Advanced Technical Certificate Program is by completion of the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Geographic Information Systems Specialist AAS.
The Geographic Information Systems Technology Program Advanced Technical Certificate would prepare graduates to perform duties of a GIS analyst (upon completion of the advanced certificate). Students would be able to use a variety of innovative GIS environments (server technologies, advanced coding development, and artificial intelligence) and solutions; steward and configure services for varied spatial data; monitor and optimize database structures; and automate advanced workflows. The program combines classroom and laboratory experience.
