This program is designed to prepare the student with the producing and songwriting skills required for all genres of commercial music such as jazz, rhythm and blues, hip-hop, rock, pop, country/western, film scoring, etc.  Emphasis on organizing musicians for songwriting demos, digital audio workstation (DAW), copyrights, licensing, and distribution.

  • *MUSC 2356  Songwriting II OR MUSC 1327  Audio Engineering I is the capstone course for this award
  • Students enrolling in this program who plan to transfer to a four-year institution should consult an advisor or counselor regarding transfer requirements and the transferability of these courses to the four-year institution of their choice.
