- Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
- Complete at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College.
This career and technical education program trains and introduces technicians into the piano regulation, tuning, and repair industry. Upon completion of the program, students will gain a fundamental knowledge of piano parts and structure (upright and grand), learn regular maintenance protocols, cultivate an ability to diagnose problems and apply corrections, and will work with local industry in the capacity of a professional piano tuning and service technician.
Students must complete courses with a “C” or better to be awarded the certificate.
