- Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
- Complete at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College.
The Live Sound Level I Certificate provides hands-on training in live sound reinforcement, audio signal flow, MIDI, and synthesis, preparing students for entry-level positions in the live sound and commercial music industries. Students gain real-world experience operating professional sound systems in performance environments and develop essential teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills. Graduates are equipped for roles in venues, houses of worship, touring productions, corporate events, and recording or production facilities.
