Recent research in higher education indicates that for many students engaging in campus activities is an important contributor to academic success. In addition, students develop transferrable life skills that enable success in future educational and career experiences.
The Office of Student Life and Engagement is responsible for planning and implementing a variety of programs and activities to encourage student engagement and to create a positive learning environment. Fun, creative social activities are offered as well as leadership workshops and conferences, retreats, diversity training, intramural sports, and volunteer opportunities to serve the campus and the community. In addition, co-curricular programs such as guest speakers, lectures and seminars by local and nationally known presenters, art gallery exhibits, and music, dance and theater performances enhance classroom learning and the overall college experience.
The institution invites you to take an active role in your college experience. You may want to join a student club, participate in student government/ambassador activities, or serve on one of several committees engaging in real decision making for the college.
Make Student Life and Engagement part of your college experience.
