Health Insurance and International Students

Dallas College strongly recommends that international students obtain health insurance for the duration of their studies. Lack of health insurance puts a student at risk of serious financial challenges if medical expenses are incurred and a student is unable to pay.

Also visit the following United States government websites for more information about maintaining your F1 status:

Study in the States website at: https://studyinthestates.dhs.gov/students for additional information specific to student visa holders.

Note on Student Visa Type M-1

Dallas College presently has no active non-credit Vocational or Technical Education (M-1) programs in which international students may be admitted. However, in the event that this changes, Dallas College is certified by the SEVP to host M-1 visa holders.
