Study Abroad and Global Engagement

Study Abroad, global engagement and other international opportunities are offered and encouraged at Dallas College. In a rapidly globalizing world, it is imperative that DC discovers and promotes these experiences for students, faculty and staff to better prepare them to live, work and serve here in Dallas and elsewhere. Over forty percent of the residents of the Dallas Fort Worth area are either foreign born or first-generation Americans. Simply put, though it is no longer necessary to travel out of the local area to have an international “experience,” we believe that because of this, the intellectual expansion and cultural awareness that outbound travel and inbound programs affords the individual is more important now than ever before.
