EMSP 2265 - Practicum (or Field Experience)-Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic) (2 Credit Hours) Campus Location: BHC, CVC
An Emergency Medical Services (EMS) related work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, and concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional.
Prerequisites: Required : (1) Admission into the Emergency Medical Services Program, (2) Current BLS (CPR) certification by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, (3) Certification by the Texas Department of State Health Services as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic or higher. Corequisites/Concurrent: Students will be required to submit to and pass a criminal background search and a drug screen as prescribed by the program and college. Failure to comply will result in the student being dropped from all EMSP courses. Course Hour Configuration (19 Ext.)
