ITSY 1342 - Information Technology Security (3 Credit Hours)

Instruction in security for network computer hardware, software, virtualization, and data, including physical security; backup procedures; relevant tools; encryption; and protection from viruses. Topics may adapt to changes in industry practices.

Prerequisites: Recommended: Prior networking course, networking experience or instructor approval.
This course is cross-listed as ITSY 1442. The student may register for either ITSY 1342 or ITSY 1442 but may receive credit for only one of the two.
