MUSI 1312 - Music Theory II (3 Credit Hours)

The study of analysis and writing of tonal melody and diatonic harmony, including all diatonic chords and seventh chords in root position and inversions, non-chord tones, and functional harmony. Introduction to more complex topics, such as modulation, may occur. Optional correlated study at the keyboard. It is recommended that students also enroll in MUSI 1117.

Prerequisites: Recommended: MUSI 1311 or demonstrated competence approved by the instructor.
