SRGT 1541 - Surgical Procedures I (5 Credit Hours)

Introduction to surgical pathology and its relationship to surgical procedures. Emphasis on surgical procedures related to the general, OB/GYN, genitourinary, and orthopedic surgical specialties incorporating instruments, equipment, and supplies required for safe patient care.

Prerequisites: Recommended: A minimum “C” grade or better in all and previous semester support and Surgical Technology course work. Concurrent enrollment in, or a minimum “C” grade or better in HPRS 1202. Concurrent enrollment in SRGT 1542 and 1367.
