  • Students pursuing this award program are required to meet Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards and course prerequisites.
  • Complete at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College.

PREREQUISITE:  This award is for FAME (Federation of Advanced Manufacturing Education) participants only. Students must be enrolled in the Electrical Engineering Technology AAS , the Electro Mechanical Technology AAS , or the Robotics and Industrial Automation AAS  as a FAME student for the duration of the program. Students can receive this award upon completion of the FAME program and one of the aforementioned AAS degrees.

FAME (Federation of Advanced Manufacturing Education) provides global-best workforce development through strong technical training, integration of manufacturing core competencies, intensive professional practices, and intentional hands-on experience to build the future of the modern manufacturing industry.

It is comprised of 5 MCE courses and one Special Topics course that can be tailored to meet industry needs:

  • FAME-MCE1 Safety Culture
  • FAME-MCE2 Visual Workspace Organization
  • FAME-MCE3 Lean Manufacturing
  • FAME-MCE4 Problem Solving
  • FAME-MCE5 Machine Reliability
  • Special Topics Course
