This program introduces students to the refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and heat pump principles necessary to begin an air conditioning or refrigeration career as a HVACR technician’s helper. Commonly used tools and instruments are introduced, and safety is emphasized. The preferred program alternative is for the students to experience a cooperative work experience at the program’s culmination.
