This is an “Articulated” degree with Texas A&M University (TAMU) - Commerce.

Students who complete this degree with no grade below that of “C” and who meet all admissions requirements at Texas A&M University (TAMU - Commerce) are eligible to apply for admission to TAMU’s Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering program. Students should follow this plan only if they wish to transfer to TAMU-Commerce in Industrial Engineering. Students wishing to transfer to another university should not assume this entire plan will transfer.

In order to be eligible to receive this A.S. degree, a student must:

  1. Complete a minimum of 60 credit hours including all the required courses listed;
  2. Earn a grade of “C” or better in ENGL 1301  and the selected college-level mathematics course;
  3. Receive a GPA of at least 2.00 (“C”)
    [NOTE: TAMU-Commerce guarantees admission with a 3.50 GPA with no grade below a “C”];
  4. Give permission to Dallas College and TAMU-Commerce to share transcript data in order to evaluate degree program progress and assist in degree completion requirements and reporting;
  5. Meet all Texas Success Initiative (TSI)  requirements and course prerequisites; and
  6. Complete at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College.

This degree does not include all Core Curriculum course requirements.

Students who plan to transfer must work closely with an advisor/counselor.
