The courses in the Certificate in Professional Accountancy satisfy the accounting, research, ethics and business communication course requirements for eligibility to sit for the Certified Public Accountant Exam in the State of Texas. Courses that satisfy the business course requirements for CPA exam eligibility are also available to students but are not part of the degree plan.
The program focuses on advanced topics including financial accounting, taxation, and auditing. The intent of the program is to increase the quality and number of competent and ethical candidates to sit for the uniform CPA exam.
Admission Prerequisite: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Students must complete all appropriate paperwork and request official transcripts from each college attended. Transcripts cannot be addressed to students and cannot be delivered by students.
