SRGT 1505 - Introduction to Surgical Technology (5 Credit Hours)

Orientation to surgical technology theory, surgical pharmacology and anesthesia, technological sciences, and patient care concepts.

Prerequisites: Recommended: Acceptance to the Surgical Technologist program and a minimum “C” grade or better in ENGL 1301, SPCH 1311, SCIT 1407, HPRS 1204 and HPRS 2231. Concurrent enrollment in, or a minimum “C” grade or better in SCIT 1408 and HPRS 2300. Concurrent enrollment in SRGT 1509 and 1166.
